FACULTY POSITION IN PLANT BIOLOGY

The Department of Plant Biology, College of Biological Sciences, at the University of California, Davis invites applications for a tenure-track position at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level. Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Plant Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a related discipline and have an outstanding record of research achievement. The successful candidate is expected to develop a state-of-the-art research program that will implement quantitative, biochemical, or systems-based approaches to understand fundamental principles underlying the biochemistry of plants; preference will be given to candidates working in the area of plant metabolism. The Department of Plant Biology places a high priority on teaching and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching mission of the Department and the College.
