Salary range: The salary range for this position is: $180,000 - $250,000 - Assistant Rank; $210,000 - $280,000 - Associate Rank; $250,000 - $350,000 – Full Rank. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation plan

Position description

The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine is recruiting for two full-time faculty members in the Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant/Associate/Full rank in Infectious Diseases. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities and University/public service.

The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to quality patient care, medical education and research in the area of Infectious Diseases. They will have training in academic pursuits, be dedicated to continued scholarship, and bring strong interpersonal skills and a history of collaborating across a broad range of medical specialties.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
  • Applicants must have M.D./D.O. or M.D. and Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Applicant must be board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases,
  • Must eligible for medical licensure in the State of California.
  • Have experience in teaching and supervising medical students, residents and fellows.
  • Must have two years of productive postdoctoral fellowship or equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications (other preferred, but not required, qualifications for the position)
  • Candidates who have a record of success and research funding would be preferred.
