Position description
The Department of Art and Art History at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for a lecturer position in Art Studio to teach up to two Lower Division classes in SCULPTURE during the 2025-26 academic year, Fall Quarter.
This lecturer will teach three-hour studio class(es) twice a week and will hold regular office hours.
These classes introduce students to an array of approaches in sculpture, as well as to related historical and conceptual underpinnings necessary for contemporary practice at all levels of undergraduate teaching. These courses should integrate practical skills with conceptual foundations as aligned with the instructor's strengths, interests and background. Applicants should be artists with professional practices and expertise in the field of sculpture. Qualifications include an MFA and college/university level teaching experience beyond the TA level.

This is a non-tenured, temporary position: appointments to the title of Lecturer are self-terminating (no further notice on non-reappointment will be forthcoming) and do not create an obligation on the part of the University either to extend or renew the appointment outlined above. Any reappointment will be preceded by an assessment.
Proof of citizenship or eligibility for US employment required prior to employment (Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986).
This position is subject to UC policy and is covered by a collective bargaining unit.
