Position description
The Middle East/South Asia Studies Program (ME/SA) seeks an instructor for a lecturer position in Punjabi to teach Punjabi 1V, 2V, and 3V, pending administrative approval and funding, for the academic year 2025-26. The position is available for the following quarters:
Fall Quarter 2025 September 24, 2025 – June 11, 2026.
Course Day/Time
TR 4:10-5:30 online
Qualified Applicants:
*Must be native or near-native speaker of Punjabi
*Must be proficient in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English
*Must be able to teach reading and writing in Punjabi in the Gurmukhi script.
Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience as a teacher
*Experience using digital tools for teaching
*Ability to teach reading and writing in Punjabi in the Devanagari script and/or Nastaliq scripts.

Qualifications
BA or BS degree is required. Demonstrated experience in teaching Punjabi is desirable.
