Position description
The UC Davis Health School of Medicine, Department of Radiology is seeking two full-time, breast imaging radiologists at the assistant, associate, or full professor rank in the Professor of Clinical Radiology (ClinX) or Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) series (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service.
Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service.
The UC Davis Breast Imaging Division offers a full range of digital breast imaging and interventional services in a team approach with other subspecialists and using state-of-the-art equipment and technologies. This is an opportunity to practice the highest quality breast imaging in an expanding division with dedicated faculty members in a stimulating, collegial, diverse, and rewarding environment. Scholarly, clinical, and translational research is highly valued and supported. There is a long-standing partnership with the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, which offers division members the opportunity to join a well-established research program.
The candidates will be involved in interpreting all breast imaging studies and performing all procedures, including screening and diagnostic mammography, tomosynthesis, contrast enhanced mammography (CEM), breast ultrasound (US) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and image-guided interventional procedures. The candidates will be expected to participate in multidisciplinary meetings and will have the opportunity to be involved in resident and fellow education. No weeknight or weekend call is expected of the breast division.
UC Davis Health currently has eight clinical GE 1.5T MRI scanners, and three clinical 3T magnets, and one extremity scanner. There are additional 1.5 and 3T systems in the adjacent Imaging Research Center. Ultrasound equipment and PET/CT is state-of-the-art. UC Davis Health has an award-winning, fully integrated electronic health record (EHR) system. The Radiology Department is fully digital and completely integrated with the EHR.
The salary range for this position is $425,000-$525,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.

Qualifications
- Possess an M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree.
- Possess or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of California.
- Be board certified or eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology.
- Be experienced in screening and diagnostic mammography, tomosynthesis, breast US and MRI and image-guided interventional procedures.
- Breast imaging fellowship training or dedicated breast imaging work experience is required by June 30, 2025.
- A commitment to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
