ANNOUNCEMENT OF ACADEMIC POSITION

LECTURER IN MUSIC – Bassoon LESSONS INSTRUCTOR

Academic year 2024-25

The Department of Music at the University of California, Davis, announces an opening for an instructor to teach bassoon lessons. We are especially interested in instructors who have experience playing and teaching more than one idiom/style (e.g., classical, jazz, baroque, and/or mariachi. The successful candidate will teach individual bassoon lessons to a variable number of students (typically between 2-4). Mode of delivery is face-to-face.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum qualifications for position is a master’s degree or
equivalent professional experience.

SALARY: Hourly wage, commensurate with candidate’s training and experience. Variable number of students, usually between 2-5 students. Weekly lessons scheduled between instructor and student and taught in-person in the Music Building or Pitzer Center

STARTING DATE: Fall Quarter (September 27, 2024 – June 30, 2025)
