Position description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Davis Health seeks to recruit a full-time Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician. The position will be recruited at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor Rank in the Clinical “X” or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series based on experience and qualifications.

Applicants must possess an MD or DO from an accredited medical school and have or be eligible to obtain a California Medical License. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and be completing or have successfully completed an accredited fellowship and be sub-specialty board certified or board eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Additional requirements include clinical experience in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, complications associated with preterm birth, prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, and genetics, demonstrated clinical skills and judgment, teaching effectiveness and proficiency in clinical investigation or basic science research. Applicants must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment and be able to adhere to policies and procedures. Preferred qualifications include fetal intervention and advanced fetal ultrasonography, including fetal echocardiogram, amniocentesis, chorionic villi sampling and intrafetal potassium chloride injections. Individuals with specialized interest in prenatal diagnosis, medical genetics, fetal surgery and ultrasound are preferred.

Position responsibilities will include the management of patients with high-risk obstetrical conditions, both inpatient and outpatient, as well as surgery and procedures; teaching fellows, residents, medical students and non-MFM fellows is expected, and research duties will include translational science and/or clinical or basic science research to meet the goals of the department. Salary and level of appointment will be based upon experience and qualifications.

Qualifications
