Position description

The Middle East/South Asia Studies Program (ME/SA) seeks instructors for lecturer positions in the broad areas of Middle East studies and South Asia studies, pending administrative approval and funding, for the academic year 2020-2021. Positions are available for the following quarters:

Fall Quarter 2020: September 28 - December 18
Winter Quarter 2021: January 4 – March 19
Spring Quarter 2021: March 25 – June 10

Demonstrated experience in teaching and advanced degree in the specific language or related discipline is desirable.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, Statement of Contributions to Diversity, and the contact information for two (2) references. Teaching statement, course syllabus, and prior evaluations are optional. We will begin review of applications May 22nd, 2020.

The Director of the ME/SA Program will recommend appointments to the Associate Dean of the Faculty in the Social Sciences, who makes the final decision. All appointments are contingent upon funding availability.
