The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Davis Health System seeks to recruit a full-time Family Planning Specialist. The position will be recruited at the Assistant Professor rank in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series based on experience and qualifications.
Applicants must possess an MD or DO with clinical care experience specializing in Family Planning. Applicants must be completing or have completed a Family Planning Fellowship, have clinical care experience specializing in family planning, and have formal research training through a Fellowship, MPH, PhD or similar degree. Experience with telemedicine within a family planning program is preferred. Ability to demonstrate active advocacy work with state or federal governments related to Family Planning is preferred. Applicants should have or be eligible to obtain a California Medical License. Applicants must have experience with training fellows, residents and medical students.
Chosen candidate will be responsible for clinical care in family planning and general gynecology; oversight of medical students, residents and fellows for issues related to family planning and general gynecology; and participation in a family planning research program to include federal, industry and foundation funding. Candidate will be required to provide mentorship as part of a formal residency and fellowship training program in family planning with other responsibilities which may include contracted work with local/regional freestanding reproductive health care facilities or associated programs at partner hospitals.
