University Writing Program Spring 2018 Unit 18 Lecturer Internal Search
Position description
The UC Davis University Writing Program invites applications for part-time Lecturers to fill a range of teaching positions at the upper-division and/or lower-division levels. We have needs for applicants qualified to teach writing in the professions (particularly business, science, and technical writing), writing in the disciplines, and/or advanced composition. Internal applicants who can fill one, two, or three of these needed areas are also encouraged to apply.
Because of the short notice and logistical constraints, we are seeking Internal Candidates only. For this reason, you may use your materials submitted in a previous recruitment to facilitate our search. Please send letter of application, CV, sample course materials, and one letter of recommendation to https://recruit.ucdavis.edu/apply. A search committee appointed by the Director will review applicants February 5, 2018. These positions will be open until filled.
Selection criteria include (1) pertinence of scholarly background and training for teaching writing in a diverse institution; (2) experience teaching upper division writing: writing in the professions (particulary business writing and writing in the health professions), writing in the disciplines, and/or advanced composition. Ph.D. or other appropriate terminal degree required, except in cases where exceptional professional experience may be considered the equivalent.
UC Davis is an affirmative action/equal employment opportunity employer and is dedicated to recruiting a diverse faculty community. We welcome all qualified applicants to apply, including women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and veterans.
