The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting an academic pediatric infectious diseases faculty member. This position may be appointed between 80% and 100% full time.

The position is open at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank (commensurate with credentials) in the Clinical Pediatrics or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. The candidates will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, and research activities of the Department of Pediatrics and serve on certain departmental committees. The candidates will be expected to do clinical service at participating regional hospitals. We expect that this position will be an active participant in antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention programs.

The candidates must have the following experience/qualifications:
• M.D. or D.O.
• Successful completion of an approved pediatric residency training program
• Fellowship in Infectious Diseases
• Board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases
• Eligibility for a California Medical License
• Proven excellence in clinical care, education, and administrative experience is required.
• The experience or ability to foster collegiality and work collaboratively in a diverse environment.

Training and/or experience in antimicrobial stewardship and/or infection prevention is strongly preferred.
