Health Sciences Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor – Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic and Consultation Service

The University of California, Davis, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is recruiting for a Health Sciences Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor in the clinician/teaching series to serve as a teaching attending in its Outpatient Clinics both in the department and at The MIND Institute. The appointment is in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. This position will involve supervising child and adolescent psychiatry and general psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students, as well serving as a part of the Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation Team. Appointment at the Assistant or Associate level is contingent upon experience in this area.

Requirements for this position include a medical degree, board certification in general psychiatry and completion of a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship, a California Medical license (or eligibility for licensure in the State of California) in addition to teaching and supervisory experience for residents, fellows, and medical students. Board certification in child and adolescent psychiatry is highly desired.

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences has approximately 65 residents in six residency training programs and 80 faculty and staff psychiatrists and psychologists. The department provides a stimulating teaching and academic research environment and serves a culturally diverse population. The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of California, Davis, recognizes the necessity of supporting faculty in honoring their often-competing commitments to both family and career and is dedicated to providing a very manageable work-life balance for its faculty in a beautiful Northern California academic setting.
