The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Davis Health System seeks to recruit a full-time Division Chief of Gynecologic Oncology. The position will be recruited at the Associate or Full Professor rank in the Clinical X or HSCP series based on experience and qualifications.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years Post Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship experience. Applicants must have completed fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology. Applicant must be Board Certified in Gynecologic Oncology and General Obstetrics and Gynecology. Applicants must possess an MD or DO from an accredited medical school and have or be eligible to obtain a California Medical License. Applicant must have training and experience in research specific to women’s cancers. Applicant must have experience with training fellows, residents and medical students. Applicant must have mentoring and leadership experience. Ability to perform minimally invasive gynecologic surgery procedures is preferred. Ability to provide chemotherapy services for
gynecologic cancers is preferred. Applicant is preferred to have research experience with active research programs.
Applicants must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegiality within a diverse environment, and be able to adhere to policies and procedures. Salary and level of appointment will be based upon experience and qualifications.
The selected candidate will be appointed as the Division Chief of Gynecologic Oncology and will be responsible for Gynecologic Oncology outpatient care and surgery with resident oversight. The candidate would also be eligible to be the Program Director for the Gynecology Oncology Fellowship based on interest, experience and training. Chosen candidate will have direct involvement with students and residents in core curriculum and clinical teaching. Chosen candidate will have the potential for leadership positions within the Department and/or Health System.
