This is a 9-month tenure-track position in the Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics (MMG), College of Biological Sciences, at the Assistant Professor level. The appointee will teach undergraduate courses and graduate-level courses in microbiology and/or molecular genetics. The appointee will be expected to achieve excellence through extramurally funded research, consistent with departmental goals, which encompass broad fields of microbiology and molecular genetics.
The Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics (http://mmg.ucdavis.edu/) in conjunction with the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center (http://www.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/cancer/) seeks a colleague with research interests in cancer biology. We aim to strengthen and expand the departmental research portfolio as part of a long-term development strategy. We welcome a broad spectrum of applications from individuals using experimental and/or computational ‘-omics’ approaches on questions of direct cancer relevance using any vertebrate system.
