Assistant Professor, Neural Mechanisms of Motor Control
Position description
The Department of Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior, in the College of Biological Sciences, University of California, Davis, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Motor Control at the Assistant Professor level. This position is part of a recently approved hiring initiative in the general area of neuro-engineering, brain-machine interfaces, and prosthetic devices. The appointee will be expected to carry out high-quality research in the area of motor control consistent with the broad goals of the Department. The appointee will be required to teach undergraduate courses in the departmental undergraduate curriculum, graduate courses, and other courses in their specialty as appropriate.
Candidates whose research program integrates biological experimentation with computational modeling are especially encouraged to apply. Based on research focus, the position has the potential for a joint Assistant Professor in Residence appointment with the UC Davis School of Medicine.
