Center for Neuroscience Dry Lab Jr. Specialist
Position description
This position will be involved in interdisciplinary studies and preforming experiments focusing on questions in molecular and cellular biology and neurobiology. Junior Specialists are required to be actively and significantly involved in publishable research activities, including reviewing journal articles and engaging in discussions on research and the interpretation of research results. Jr. Specialists should also participate in one or more of the following activities: appropriate professional/technical societies or groups and other educational and research organizations; and review research proposals, journal manuscripts, and publications related to area of expertise. Candidates are responsible for basic lab management and maintenance, including one or more of the following:
• Design, execution and analysis of functional imaging, neuropsychological, and behavioral experiments on human memory
• Design and program experiments using Presentation or Matlab software
• Design and run behavioral experiments working with human participants in a research context.
• Collecting data using behavioral and fMRI studies and other methods
• Analyzing data
• Mathematical/computational modeling
