Position description

The Hall Assistant Professor is initially appointed for two years (with satisfactory review after the first year), which is then renewable for a total of three years. Evaluation is based on teaching and research. The salary of a Hall Assistant Professor is that of Assistant Professor, Step II. The teaching load consists of three to four courses per academic year. The Hall Assistant Professor is expected to teach at all levels (lower division, upper division, and graduate) and to participate in the offering of research seminars, research training programs, undergraduate research and special topics courses. A candidate for the Hall Assistant Professorship must have completed a Ph.D. degree in Statistics or a related field no earlier than four years prior to the effective date of appointment. Qualification for this position include evidence of excellent research potential, documented by strong letters of recommendation.
