Position description

As a Junior Specialist, the candidate will assume responsibilities in assisting and conducting clinical trials under the direction of the lead Clinical Research Coordinator and the Department’s Chief Administrative Officer, as well as the Principal Investigators of each study.

Dermatology Clinical research staff, clinical research faculty, research subjects, and IRB administration.

Clinical trials and research : The candidate will assist all activities related to clinical trials and research. The candidate will provide support and coordination for drug and device studies that may involve industry-sponsored Phase I, II, III, and IV clinical trials, government and grant funded clinical research, and investigator-initiated clinical research. The candidate will also prepare documents for submission to the IRB, communicate with sponsors, recruit and screen study participants, and coordinate participants clinical visits, follow up care, and continued participation. The candidate will ensure compliance with study protocols. The candidate will work closely with various principal investigators, residents, and fellows to support their research efforts.

The candidate will assist in sending reports for IRB applications submissions.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, or related field.
Able to compile, understand, and interpret data
Ability to work cooperatively and collegiality within a diverse environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of IRB and clinical trials preferred

Step I - $36,984 [100% annual] or Step II - $39,444 [100% annual]),commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This position is open effective April 18, 2016 with an initial review date of May 2, 2016. The position will close on June 30, 2016.

Short term, seasonal appointment based on the needs of the research project. Appointments may be made up to 100%.
