Position description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Davis invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor levels with a research focus on millimeter-wave and terahertz devices, circuits and/or systems, including active and passive mmW/Thz devices, components and modelling, and including mmW/THz system applications in biology and medicine, high speed communications, astronomy, security, radar, agriculture, and sensors.

UC Davis has significant collaborative research opportunities in the application of millimeter wave and THz technology to biological sciences and medicine, chemistry, physics, space astronomy, and materials science.

Required application materials include a cover letter, CV, research and teaching statements, three sample publications, and names and contact information of three references. Applicants are also encouraged to submit a statement of contributions to diversity.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, a proven research track record, a commitment to teaching and service, and a potential for attracting significant extramural research support. For full consideration, applicants should apply by January 31, 2016. The positions remain open until filled. This recruitment is conducted at the assistant/associate rank. The resulting hire will be at the assistant/associate rank, regardless of the proposed appointee's qualifications.
