Health Sciences Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor
Position description
The University of California, Davis, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is recruiting for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Health Science Clinical Professor series. The responsibilities of this position include: serve as attending in the Outpatient Clinic and to provide psychiatric consultation on pediatric patients hospitalized at the medical center. This is part of the department's Psychosomatic Medicine Service.
Qualified candidates must possess a M.D. degree. The selected candidate must have experience in teaching and supervising residents and medical students. Board certification in General Psychiatry and a California Medical License is required. Completion of a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship is required as well. Board Certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry is highly preferred. The candidate must have experience or ability to foster collegiality and work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
The Department of Psychiatry has approximately 65 residents in six residency training programs and 80 faculty and staff psychiatrists and psychologists. The department provides a stimulating teaching and research academic environment and serves a culturally diverse population.
This recruitment is being conducted at the assistant/associate rank. The resulting hire will be at the assistant/associate rank, regardless of the proposed appointee's qualifications.
