Position description

The Department of Nutrition, University of California, Davis, invites applications for a part-time lecturer position during Spring Quarter 2015 (March 26, 2015 to June 11, 2015). The course to be taught is Nutrition 105 – “Nutrition and Aging”. This upper-division course covers the role of nutrition in the aging process from both an organismal/cell perspective, including demographics, theories of aging, nutrition and evolution, nutritional manipulation and life-span extension, and nutrition’s impact on the diseases of aging. Approaches to the material include lecture, discussion, and other participatory assignments.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience. Qualifications required include demonstrated teaching ability and experience in teaching related courses as an instructor or as a teaching assistant. A postgraduate degree is required; minimum of M.S. and a Ph.D. is preferred.
