Position description

The Department of Food Science and Technology invites applications for a full-time Lecturer with Potential for Security of Employment (LPSOE), comparable to a tenure-track assistant professor appointment. LPSOE faculty are members of the Academic Senate whose expertise and responsibilities center on undergraduate education and dedicated analysis/improvement of teaching. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching both lower and upper division undergraduate food science lecture and laboratory courses. They will also be expected to play a leadership role in the advancement of teaching and learning, working with other faculty to develop high quality and effective educational programs and initiatives. Qualified applicants must have a Ph.D. in food science, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, engineering or related disciplines, preferably with postgraduate experience. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
