The UC Davis Department of Psychiatry is recruiting an Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry to serve as chief of a new psycho-oncology program. This appointment is in the clinician/educator series or clinical x series. The applicant will be responsible for developing this program in collaboration with the leadership of the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Department of Psychiatry’s psychosomatic medicine service. The candidate should have experience in providing clinical care to patients with cancer in a variety of treatment settings to include inpatient hospital, and outpatient clinics, palliative care programs, and hospice settings. Fellowship training in psychosomatic medicine or palliative care is highly desirable. The candidate should have experience in designing new clinical programs. The applicant should also have experience working in multidisciplinary and multispeciality teams. The candidate will be expected to supervise and teach medical students and residents. Board certification in psychiatry and a California medical license are required.
