The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for one full-time position in the Health Sciences Clinical Series or Clinical X Series at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Funding will be provided by clinical income. Appointees to the Health Sciences Clinical series are required to participate in patient care, teaching and university service; Appointees to the Clinical X series are required to engage in creative activity that can include clinical/translational research, teaching, patient care and university service. The final candidate will be expected to provide Gastroenterology consultation and endoscopy services at UC Davis Medical Center Main Hospital and at satellite primary care network sites located in outlying areas of Sacramento, California.
Candidates must have expertise in general gastroenterology and diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopy. Advanced endoscopy is desirable, with an emphasis and interest in the area of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Demonstrated experience in clinical research is desirable. Candidates must possess an M.D. degree, is Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology and have completed a three-year Gastroenterology fellowship training program. Candidates must be qualified for licensure within the State of California. Candidates must have the ability work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.
