Position description

The University of California Davis Eye Center is accepting applications for a highly qualified early or mid-career, full-time, cornea clinician scientist. This position is designed for an individual who will be active in clinical care and research. The candidate must have an MD or MD/PhD, be board certified, possess or be eligible for licensure in the state of California, completed an accredited cornea fellowship program, have interest and experience in research, and teaching. Responsibilities include: clinical patient care, teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows; university service, and a commitment to scientific investigation.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
  • MD or MD/PhD
  • Board certified or eligible
  • Eligible for licensure in the state of California
  • Completed a cornea and external disease fellowship program by date of hire
  • Teaching experience
  • Clinical care experience in the cornea and external disease specialty
Preferred qualifications (other preferred, but not required, qualifications for the position)
  • Award achievements in outstanding clinical care
  • Published work in relation to cornea research
