Temporary positions are anticipated for lecturers in the Institute of Transportation Studies (ITS) under the umbrella of the Civil and Environment Engineering Department. A list of courses that may be available during 2023-2024 academic years is attached. An updated list is available on the department website at https://catalog.ucdavis.edu/courses-subject-code/ttp/. Courses will be conducted in person on the main UC Davis Campus in Davis, CA.
Appointment Date: Several appointments may be made each year. A selected candidate will be assigned only one course in any quarter.
Service dates are:
Fall Quarter 2023: September 25, 2023 – December 15, 2023
Winter Quarter 2024: January 5, 2024 – March 22, 2024
Spring Quarter 2024: March 28, 2024– June 13, 2024
Duties and Responsibilities: Teach one or more lecture and/or laboratory courses in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering during the academic year but not more than a single course in any quarter.
Minimum professional degree requirement is a Master’s, in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or extensive university-level/higher education teaching experience in a relevant area; although exceptions may be made for exceptional candidates with strong and relevant experience in both practice and teaching
