Temporary Lecturer (Summer Sessions 2023)
Position Description

Temporary positions are anticipated for lecturers in the major areas of Human Development.

A list of courses that may be available during summer session 2023 are below. It is possible that courses may be added or omitted from this list as the year progresses.

Appointment Date:
Several appointments are made for summer session. The number of courses assigned for each appointment may vary depending on type of course and percentage of appointment. Service dates are:
• Summer Session I 2023, June 26– August 4, 2023
• Summer Session II 2023 August 7 – September 15, 2023

Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach one or more summer courses for the Human Development program in the Department of Human Ecology.

  • HDE 100B Middle Childhood and Adolescence

Salary:
Salary commensurate with qualifications, education, experience and course load.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

• Appropriate professional degree [minimum requirement is Masters], e.g., in psychology, human development, or equivalent discipline.

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

• Evidence of teaching excellence or potential for excellence.
• A developing record of scholarly or professional achievement in an area of expertise related to a subject area described in this announcement.

Preferred qualifications

• Ph.D. is preferred, e.g., in psychology, human development, or equivalent discipline
