Temporary positions are anticipated for lecturers in Civil and Environmental Engineering. A list of courses that may be available during 2022-2023 academic years is attached. An updated list is available on the department website at https://cee.engineering.ucdavis.edu. Courses will be conducted in person on the main UC Davis Campus in Davis, CA
Appointment Date: Applicants internal to the UC Davis Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering who had an appointment in 2021-2022 and apply by the “Initial Review Date” of 4/30/2022 will be considered prior to all other applicants. Several appointments may be made each year. A selected candidate will be assigned only one course in any quarter. Service dates are:
Fall Quarter 2022: September 19, 2022 – December 9, 2023
Winter Quarter 2022: January 6, 2023 – March 24, 2023
Spring Quarter 2022: March 30, 2023– June 15, 2023
Duties and Responsibilities: Teach one or more lecture and/or laboratory courses in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering during the academic year but not more than a single course in any quarter.
• Minimum professional degree requirement is a Master’s, or preferably a PhD, in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or extensive university-level/higher education teaching experience in a relevant area; although exceptions may be made for exceptional candidates with strong and relevant experience in both practice and teaching
• Evidence of teaching excellence or potential for excellence, and a commitment to inclusive and quality undergraduate education.
• Salary and appointment level will be commensurate with experience and course assignment
