Position description

The University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks candidate for an Assistant/Associate and Full-Professor level in the non-tenure academic clinician scientist track. The incumbent should be able to provide expert clinical care in electrophysiology. Training is required in the specific areas of lead extraction, advanced ablations, and device implantations. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse group of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and nurse practitioners in one of the most highly regarded Cardiovascular Program in the United States. Research experience in clinical/ basic translational areas with grant or intention to seek grant will be favored.

Cardiovascular Medicine Faculty responsibilities include direct inpatient and outpatient clinical care; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; university/public service; and regular attendance at scheduled meetings and CME activities. The applicant should exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, ability to foster collegiality and collaboration in a diverse environment is required.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent, be board-eligible/certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology and be eligible for licensure in the State of California. Cardiovascular Medicine training at a recognized training program is expected. Candidates must be US Citizen or Permanent Residence. J1 or H1B visa will not be considered. Academic rank and salary commensurate to experience.
