Academic Vascular Surgeon
The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis Health located in Sacramento, California, seeks to hire a full time Vascular/Endovascular Surgeon in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level, in the Health Science Clinical Professor, In Residence or Clinical X series. The Division of Vascular Surgery is a comprehensive academic program including an integrated residency in vascular surgery, basic and clinical research, an active clinical service.

The selected candidate will contribute to the growth of the educational, research and clinical missions of the surgical programs at UC Davis Health. Expected responsibilities include teaching; both inpatient and outpatient clinical care, and research relating to vascular disease. Clinical duties include resident/fellow supervision, open vascular and percutaneous endovascular work at both the UC Davis Medical Center and one or more VA/DoD facilities. This position will have ready access to hybrid O.R.s, Catheterization Labs, and Simulation Centers. The selected candidate will work collaboratively and integrate with our partners.

Successful candidate will be appointed at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level in the Clinical X, In-Residence or HSCP series depending on experience and qualifications. Expectations of a Clinical X series is to engage in teaching, research, service and clinical work, appointees the In-Residence series are required to participate in teaching, research, University/public service, and patient care and appointees of the HSCP series is to engage in clinical work, teaching and to support departments research mission.

Salary and level of appointment will be based upon experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Basic Qualifications:
• The candidate must have a M.D. degree
• Be board certified or board eligible in Vascular Surgery
• All candidates must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

• Possess a current California Medical License and a California Fluoroscopy Operator’s Permit before appointment start date
