The Department of Communication at the University of California at Davis invites applications for a temporary teaching position in Communication for the 2021-2022 academic year. Availability of this position depends upon final administrative approval. The Department seeks applicants with demonstrated teaching experience and effectiveness. An M.A. in communication is required, but a Ph.D. is strongly desired. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Unit.
We seek a lecturer with teaching or research experience in the quantitative, social-scientific study of communication, able to teach in the following areas: language and communication; communication and gender; and health communication. Applicants must have previous teaching experience and demonstrated effectiveness in teaching courses that comport with the department’s quantitative, social-scientific focus. The appointee will teach up to six courses during the 2021-2022 academic year. Compensation is commensurate with ability and experience.
