Academic Plastic Surgeon - Microsurgery/Hand
The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis, Health located in Sacramento, California, seeks to fill a full-time Academic Plastic Surgeon position with a specialty in Hand Surgery and Microsurgery. The position is being recruited at the assistant or associate professor level in the Health Science Clinical, Clinical X, or In-Residence series. UC Davis is a large volume Level I Trauma Hospital with an NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center and a Level I Children's Surgical Center.
This recruitment is conducted at the assistant/associate rank. The resulting hire will be at the assistant/associate rank, regardless of the proposed appointee's qualifications.
Successful candidate will be appointed at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Clinical X, In-Residence or HSCP series depending on experience and qualifications. Expectations of a Clinical X series is to engage in teaching, research, service and clinical work, appointees the In-Residence series are required to participate in teaching, research, University/public service, and patient care and appointees of the HSCP series is to engage in clinical work, teaching and to support departments research mission
Qualified candidates must have an M.D. degree, be board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery, fellowship trained in Hand surgery, and a California Medical License before the start date. All candidates must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.
