Position description

The University of California, Davis, School of Medicine is recruiting for a full time academic position as an Associate or Full Professor in the In-Residence and Ladder Rank/Tenured Series in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the Department of Internal Medicine. The final candidate will serve as Division Chief.

Endocrinology faculty are required to engage in direct inpatient and outpatient care; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; University/public service; and regular attendance at scheduled meetings and CME activities.

Required candidate qualifications include: an M.D. or D.O. degree, board certification in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, and eligibility for medical licensure in the State of California. The successful candidate will be a clinician and scientist with record of outstanding achievement in relevant research in endocrinology as evidenced by publications and extramural funding, and strong leadership experience. The ability to adhere to policies and procedures are required, as is the ability to work cooperatively and collegially in a diverse environment. The candidate must have the ability to oversee the Divisional educational programs, clinics, and affiliated VA programs.
