Position description

The Department of German & Russian at the University of California, Davis, would like to recruit for a Unit 18 Lecturer for the 2020-2021 academic year. Primary duties are to teach Russian 4-6 (the second-year Russian language sequence) and other courses as assigned and hold office hours each week as required. Assignment of classes, hours of instruction, and office hours are at the discretion of the department. Classes taught are between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Salary is commensurate with education, qualifications and experience. This appointment is renewable contingent on department teaching needs.

Requirements for this position is a PhD (ABD acceptable) and minimum 1-year experience teaching Russian language at the secondary level. A potential for excellence in teaching is preferred.
