Temporary Lecturer in Medicine and Epidemiology
Position description
The School of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Medicine and Epidemiology, invites applications for a temporary lecturer position (title code 1632) to teach the Spring 2020 VME 158 course-Infectious Disease in Ecology and Conservation. The position teaches a 3 hour lecture course/week and is responsible for arranging office hours and/or study sessions for students. Applicants must be current with relevant literature related to the dynamics and control of infectious diseases in wildlife, including zoonotic diseases, and those in humans, plants, and domestic animals; basic epidemiological models and how they apply to field data; and be able to address the scientist’s role in developing disease control policies. Applicants need to prepare timely, up-to-date material for lectures.

Unit 18 Lecturers are governed under a collective bargaining agreement (American Federation of Teachers (AFT)-Non-Senate Instructional Unit).
