The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures (EALC) at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for the position of part-time Lecturer of Chinese literature. The successful candidate will teach one course on modern Chinese literature and one course on film or drama for a total of two courses in winter quarter of the 2019-2020 academic year. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This appointment is renewable contingent on departmental teaching needs.

Candidates must hold a PhD or be ABD in Chinese literature or a related field and have native or near‐native proficiency in Chinese and English. Preference will be given to applicants with college teaching experience in the U.S. and the ability to apply modern technology in classroom teaching.
