Appointment Date:
Several appointments are made each year. The number of courses assigned for each appointment may vary depending on type of course and percentage of appointment.
Service dates are:
Fall Quarter 2019: September 23, 2019 – December 13, 2019
Winter Quarter 2020: January 3, 2020 – March 20, 2020
Spring Quarter 2020: March 26, 2020 – June 11, 2020

Geography:
GEO 200AN: Geographical Concepts
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach one or more seminar or lecture courses in the Geography graduate program. Teaching may also involve field trips, projects and guest speakers. Candidates may be offered one to four courses for the year depending on programmatic need and candidate's availability.
Qualifications:
Appropriate degree (e.g., MA, MS, or Ph.D. in Geography). Demonstrated teaching ability and experience. A developing record of creative, scholarly, or professional achievement in an area of expertise related to the subject area described in this announcement.
General Information:
The Geography Graduate Group (GGG) housed in the Department of Human Ecology at the University of California, Davis, offers 6 courses annually. The GGG is an interdisciplinary academic program that spans 20 departments. We offer Masters and Ph.D. degree programs in Geography. 55 faculty from across the campus participate in the GGG.
Lecturers are sometimes hired to teach courses when full-time faculty are not available. Therefore, in any given year, open positions and requirements for individuals to fill them will vary according to permanent faculty teaching assignments. Positions may be full-time or part-time, depending on schedules and expertise.

Salary and Appointment Level:
Commensurate with experience and course assignment.
