The University of California, Davis Department of Radiology is seeking up to two full-time, fellowship- trained breast imaging radiologists at the assistant, associate, or full professor rank in the ClinX or HSCP series (commensurate with experience and qualifications). The UC Davis Breast Imaging Section offers a full range of digital breast imaging and interventional services in a team approach with other subspecialists.
Qualifications: Must be experienced in screening and diagnostic mammography, tomosynthesis, breast US and MRI and image-guided interventional procedures. Fellowship training is required as is certification/eligibility in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology, and eligibility for licensure in the State of California. A commitment to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows is required.
This is an opportunity to practice the highest quality breast imaging in an expanding section with dedicated faculty members in a stimulating, collegial, diverse, and rewarding environment. Scholarly/clinical/translational research is highly valued and supported. UC Davis is the site of the first patient studies on cone beam dedicated breast CT and dedicated PET/CT of the breast. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join this well established research program.
UC Davis Health currently has six clinical GE 1.5T MRI scanners, and one clinical 3T magnet. There are additional 1.5 and 3T systems in the adjacent Imaging Research Center. Ultrasound equipment and PET/CT is state-of-the-art. UC Davis Health has an award winning, fully integrated electronic health record (EHR) system. The Radiology Department is fully digital and completely integrated with the EHR.

Additional information about the Department of Radiology:
The Department performs approximately 400,000 exams per year and has 54 faculty with allocation for 5 full-time Interventional Radiologists. Interventional Radiology performs over 4,000 procedures per year. There are three angiography suites (Siemens Artis Zee, Siemens Artis Zeego and Siemens Artis Bi-plane); one C-arm procedure room (OEC 9900 Elite). Equipment includes three Siemens CT Scanners in the diagnostic divisions (a Definition dual-source dual-energy, a Definition AS+128-slice, and a Somatom 64-slice); two General Electric VCT 64 slice CT Scanners; and a GE Lightspeed 16 slice CT scanner dedicated for interventional procedures. The MRI equipment consists of four clinical GE 1.5T scanners, one clinical 3T magnet, and a 1.5T musculoskeletal extremity scanner. There are additional 1.5 and 3T systems supporting research in the adjacent Imaging Research Center.
