Position description
The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Davis, is soliciting applications for a tenure-track position starting July 1, 2020.
The tenure-track appointment will be made at the Assistant Professor level at an academic ladder step commensurate with qualifications. Minimum qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. degree in mathematical sciences and demonstrated potential for performance in teaching and research. The Ph.D. needs to be obtained by the beginning of Fall quarter. Duties include mathematical research, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and departmental, university and professional service. The search for this position will be in an open area, with priority being given to outstanding candidates working in one of the areas of mathematical physics, analysis and partial differential equations, or probability, as recommended by the Department's Faculty Representative Committee. We will announce the position through our planned advertisement.
