Position description

The Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Davis, seeks temporary instructors to teach one or more Online Management (Org. Behavior) courses for the 2019-2020 academic year.

MGV 201BV - Organizational Strategy and Structure

Course Description:
Strategic management of organizations, including analysis of industries, firm resources and capabilities and corporate strategy. Strategy formulation, implementation and strategic decision-making. Firm and industry life cycles and change. Analysis of organizational design and structure including differentiation and integration.

Instructors will hold 10 live online sessions, one per week in a 10-week quarter, reviewing and expanding upon material presented to students in a pre-recorded format. Instructors also have responsibility for course grading. The most important requirements for the position are a strong understanding of MBA-level Organizational Behavior concepts, and a fast and stable internet connection.”

Positions are contingent on funding and pending administrative approval. Salary is based on ability and experience. Applicants must have, at minimum, a terminal degree. Unit 18 Lecturers are governed under a collective bargaining agreement (American Federation of Teachers (AFT) - Non-Senate Instructional Unit). Under this contract, once a lecturer accumulates enough quarters of service, the lecturer can be reviewed for a Continuing Lecturer position.
