Description

The University of California, Davis School of Medicine, UC Davis Eye Center, is seeking a full-time faculty member with special expertise in Pediatric Ophthalmology. This position will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank in the Clinical X series. The position is designed for an individual who will be active in both clinical care and basic/clinical research. The candidate must have an MD or MD/PhD, be board certified, possess or be eligible for licensure in the state of California, completed a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship program, have an active/independent research program or the ability to create an independent research program, have teaching experience, and clinical care experience in the pediatric ophthalmology specialty. Additionally, award achievements in outstanding clinical care, published work in relation to pediatric ophthalmology, and/or grant funding are preferred. Responsibilities include: clinical patient care, teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows; university service, and a major commitment to basic and/or clinical research with an ability to foster a funded research program.
