The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) seeks faculty candidates with a record of excellence in research on processing of advanced functional materials for energy-related applications and a commitment to excellence in teaching. Appointment will be as a tenure track Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will develop a visible program of funded research and will be expected to collaborate with colleagues in the MSE Department as well as those in other STEM programs.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering or a closely related field, have demonstrated excellence in research and be committed to excellence in teaching. We expect the candidate to be able to teach any of the courses in the undergraduate materials science and engineering curriculum as well as graduate courses in their field of specialization within the broader discipline of materials science and engineering.
