Position description

The University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is recruiting for a full-time academic position at the Assistant Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical series. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse group of cardiologists, physicians, and nurse coordinators in one of the most highly regarded Cardiovascular Program in the United States.

Cardiovascular Medicine Faculty responsibilities include direct inpatient and outpatient clinical care; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; university/public service; and regular attendance at scheduled meetings and CME activities. The incumbent should be able to provide expert clinical care in the fields of general cardiology, Interventional and Structural Heart. The applicant should have completed advanced training in structural heart disease and performed a minimum of 200 structural heart cases. In addition, the applicant should be at a minimum COCATS level II in echocardiography and cardiovascular computed tomography. The applicant should exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, ability to foster collegiality and collaboration in a diverse environment. This position will be at the assistant professor level.

Candidates must possess an MD degree or equivalent, be board-eligible/certified in Cardiovascular Medicine, and be eligible for licensure in the State of California. Cardiovascular Medicine training at a recognized training program is expected.
