Position description

The University of California, Davis Department of Radiology is seeking up to two full-time, fellowship- trained (or equivalent) cardiothoracic radiologists at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank in the ClinX or HSCP series(commensurate with experience and qualifications).

Basic Qualifications:
Must possess a M.D. or D.O. degree, certification/eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology, and be eligible for licensure in the State of California. A commitment to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows is required. Scholarly/clinical/translational research is highly valued and supported. The successful candidate will have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment as participation in multidisciplinary conferences is expected. It is expected that faculty will be actively involved in University and Public service.

Preferred Qualifications:
Outstanding clinical skills are essential. Clinical expertise in all aspects of cardiothoracic imaging including chest radiography, chest and cardiac CT/MRI and image-guided biopsy are desired.

Scholarly or creative activity is required. Depending on their level of interest in performing research, the successful candidate may join our clinician/educator track or our clinician/research track with protected administration time incorporated into each track.

UC Davis Health currently has three Siemens CT scanners (a dual energy, a 128-slice, and a 64- slice) and two 64-slice GE CT scanners. We also have a 16-slice GE CT scanner primarily utilized for CT-guided interventional procedures. MRI consists of six clinical GE 1.5T scanners, and one clinical 3T magnet. There are additional 1.5 and 3T systems in the adjacent Imaging Research Center.
Ultrasound equipment and PET/CT is state-of-the-art. UC Davis Health has an award winning, fully integrated electronic health record (EHR) system. The Radiology Department is fully digital and completely integrated with the EHR.
