Position description

The Department of English seeks lecturers in all areas of writing instruction, creative writing and literature for classes to be offered during the 2018-19 school year.

Eligibility and Application Procedure

Successful applicants will have experience and demonstrated competence teaching at the college level. Preferences will be given to applicants with experience in subject matter relevant to courses available.

The application procedure is as follows:

a. Submit a letter of application, indicating in your opening paragraph that you wish to be considered for an appointment beginning in fall quarter 2018. Your letter should be no more than two pages and should include information about your teaching experiences and goals. It should indicate which fields of literature and/or undergraduate ENL courses you are most qualified to teach. If you have had experience lecturing for larger audiences, please let us know that as well.

b. Include with your letter of application, a CV that lists all relevant courses taught.

c. A Statement of Contributions to Diversity. (optional)

Candidates selected for further consideration will be asked to submit a teaching portfolio and a letter of recommendation.
