The Department of Neurological Surgery at UC Davis seeks to fill a full-time faculty position in Neurological Surgery specializing in the management of spinal disorders at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level within the Clinical Neurological Surgery or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. Successful candidates will have the foundation, preparation, and vision to pursue a productive career in academic neurosurgery.
• Basic Qualifications: The candidate must possess an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, have earned ABNS board certification/eligibility, and have completed specialized training in spinal neurosurgery. A postgraduate spine fellowship is preferred, but those with a strong enfolded fellowship will be considered. Experience with minimally invasive techniques and managing complex spinal deformity is desired. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active neurosurgical clinical practice, conduct clinical and/or basic science research, and teach residents and medical students as part of a multidisciplinary team at the UC Davis Spine Center in Sacramento, which includes Orthopedics, PM&R, Pain, and Radiology. Candidates must possess the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment that fosters team science and multidisciplinary patient care.
All candidates must have or be able to obtain a California medical license and California Fluoroscopy
Supervisor and Operator Permit.
