Position description

The Department of Comparative Literature at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for the position of a Unit 18 Lecturer for the 2017-2018 academic year. Primary duties will be to teach lower division Comparative Literature courses (COM 1-4) and hold office hours each week as required. Assignment of classes, hours of instruction, and office hours are at the discretion of the department. Classes taught are between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

A Masters and/or PhD is required with an expertise in the subject matter. Experience teaching a course independently and potential for excellence in teaching is preferred. Salary depends on education, years of teaching experience, and courses taught.

Appointment dates:
Spring quarter service dates: March 24 – June 14, 2018
Spring quarter payroll dates: April 1 – June 30, 2018
